Reiver Plate Coin for 1800 B-15, BB-195 Bust Dollar1800 $1 10 Arrows. B-15, BB-195, R.3. XF40 NGC. Star 13 nearly touches bust, star 7 close to L; Numerous die flaws surround TES. Reiver die state a. Bowers-Borckardt die state I. This is the Reiver plate coin for the obverse and reverse of this variety. Light silver with traces of luster in the protected areas. A typical strike, with minor weakness on Liberty's hair. We note some surface roughness around Liberty's breasts. A later die state with strong clash marks through OF and lighter clashing above and around the date, although not previously reported in Reiver or the Bowers-Borckardt reference, this should be a later die state than the usually seen early state without the die clashing. Either the reverse die was lapped or was lightly engraved as three of the arrowheads have no shafts supporting them.
