Description

Desirable AU55 1800 12 Arrows Dollar, B-17, BB-196

1800 $1 12 Arrows, B-17, BB-196, R.1 AU55 PCGS. Each die is distinctive; the obverse shows a die line jutting from the left side of the 1 in the date, while the reverse shows only the eponymous 12 arrows rather than 13. This variety, though available, is immensely popular due to its inclusion in the Guide Book. The present Choice AU example is a notable upper-end survivor, well-defined for the issue with ample remaining luster beneath the golden-tan toning that drapes each side. A touch of wear is present on the shoulder, as usual, but the surfaces are surprisingly free of distractions otherwise. Impressively appealing.
From The Charleston Collection. (Variety PCGS# 40079, Base PCGS# 6890)

Learn about consigning with us

What I most appreciated was how thorough you were when we initially met, how you were conservative in your estimates, not trying to get me to consign by giving false expectations, and then for delivering above and beyond on your commitment to me of a wonderful marketing campaign and a first rate catalog and photos, all of which resulted in a final total price realized that was nicely higher than what you had told me to expect.
