Highly Lustrous AU58 1803 Dollar1803 $1 Small 3 AU58 NGC. B-5, BB-252. Sharply struck throughout with especially strong definition on Liberty's hair curls. The surfaces are bright and lustrous, and we would dare say that this early dollar has been sold in the past (and for good reason) as Uncirculated--there is just that little evidence of handling and that much luster still present. The obverse has a pale overlay of light golden color present, while the reverse is much deeper in hue with much reddish toning added as well as several deeper colored areas that include sea-green. Simply outstanding quality and excellent value in an 1803 Dollar.
