Description:
Small Stars Reverse 1803 Eagle, BD-1
1803 $10 Small Stars Reverse Genuine PCGS. Breen-6844, Taraszka-26, BD-1, High R.5. The PCGS number ending in .98 suggests Damage as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of an AU specimen that has been damaged and has smoothed surfaces. The damage is limited to one small dig near the dentils at 3 o'clock on each side. The lemon-gold surfaces are bright from cleaning, and the left obverse field has a light pinscratch. Adjustment marks, as made, are present on the shield and AMERICA. Substantial luster remains, and collectors will recognize the significance of any example of the Heraldic Eagle type.(Registry values: P2, N2) (NGC ID# 2628, PCGS# 8565)
