Early Die State 1797 V-2, LM-1 Draped Bust, Small Eagle Half Dime1797 H10C V-2, LM-1, R.3. Reiver state a. 15 Stars XF45 NGC. Strong eye appeal for the lighter silver centers which are offset by darker gray and gold peripheral toning. There are some rather heavy adjustment marks confined to the center of the obverse, mostly on Liberty's neck and ear, but missing her face. The strike is typically weak at the centers, with the eagle lacking most of his feather definition save for the right wing which is generally sharp. An excellent collector coin for the clean surfaces, appealing toning and high grade which represents the earliest die state seen.
