Description

Famously Rare 1802 Half Dime
V-1, LM-1, AG Details

1802 H10C -- Bent -- PCGS Genuine. AG Details. V-1, LM-1, R.5. A small roundish dig behind Liberty's neck causes a noticeable bend and uneven wear. Most of LIBERTY and the date is clear, as are the right-side stars. The left-side stars are nearly worn smooth. The reverse has a few readable letters and the eagle motif is perhaps two-thirds outlined. One thin horizontal mark is noted on the eagle's head and a minor pinscratch is on the upper left obverse field. All in all, these problems are acceptable for many collectors who dare to attempt ownership of this famous First Mint rarity. Among half dime issues, only the unique 1870-S is more difficult to acquire. The fame of the 1802 half dime is such that it receives its own chapter in the Logan-McCloskey standard reference to the series.

This is why I like purchasing from Heritage, you are so customer oriented and with your size and my meager purchases it always amazes me how quickly you respond.
