Description:
1800 $5 XF 40 PCGS. B. 1-B. Miller-42. One of the more commonly encountered varieties of the year. Well defined for the grade, we note characteristic lack of definition on the top of the U in UNITED. There are a number of small abrasions scattered across both sides, the most obvious ones being a couple in the lower right obverse field. Moderate wear is noted around both sides of this desirable early half eagle. (NGC ID# 25NW, PCGS# 8082)
