Description

1806 BD-6 Half Eagle, MS62
Round Top 6

1806 $5 Round Top 6, 7x6 Stars MS62 PCGS. BD-6, R.2. Bass-Dannreuther Die State d/e. The obverse has a barely perceptible die crack from the border to the lower curl and a small rust lump on the upright of the R. The reverse has a prominent die crack through the left upright of the N in UNITED. This is the ideal type coin for the design, ranking as the most plentiful die variety of the entire type. Faint adjustment marks are evident on the obverse. Both sides have light yellow surfaces with brilliant mint luster, exhibiting faint greenish color. An excellent example of the Draped Bust/Heraldic Eagle half eagle design.(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# BFXJ, PCGS# 8089)
