Description:
PCGS 1829 XF 40. First year of the slightly modified type, this piece is typical for the date with an excellent strike, partially prooflike fields, and vivid yellow color. Unlike many of the other dates of the type, this issue was saved in relatively large numbers. That is not to say it is a common coin, however, as probably no more a hundred examples still survive in all grades. There are several small field marks on the obverse and just the faintest bit of reddish color on either side. (NGC ID# 25FK, PCGS# 7669)
