Description:
AU Details 1832 Quarter Eagle
1832 $2 1/2 AU Details, Reverse Damage, Improperly Cleaned, NCS. Bass-3029, Breen-6135, R.4, the only dies. A lightly cleaned Capped Head Quarter Eagle with substantial luster and a good strike. Vertical scratches are concealed on the left (facing) wing and on the banner between UN and UNUM. A few wispy marks are on the field above the eagle's head. Nonetheless, this rare date would be a desirable addition to any specialized collection of early gold.(#7672) (Registry values: P5) (NGC ID# 25FN, PCGS# 7672)
