Highly Attractive 1804 Draped Bust Quarter1804 25C B-1, R.4. Fine 15 NGC. Die State II. Low 4: D touches feather, dentils over I complete. Minor obverse lines are seen with a loupe. Toned a delightful gunmetal gray with well defined devices and rims on all but the lower reverse rim. The surfaces are nicer than one would expect for the grade, and rarely are early quarters found with so few distractions. Identifiable by a thin scratch in the reverse clouds past the second S of STATES. Both the obverse and reverse show clash marks from the central devices. A very difficult coin to find so well preserved and attractive and the date 1804 carries much numismatic magic.
