Scarce Low Mintage 1804 Draped Bust Quarter VG8 NGC, B-2, R.6.1804 25C B-2, R.6. VG8 NGC. Die State II. High 4; D touches feather, dentils over I complete. Clash marks very faint. Anyone wishing to obtain an example of the early Draped Bust quarter dollar, for type purposes, would be wise to consider this coin. The obverse is especially appealing, offering evenly worn features and substantial design details. Liberty's portrait is light silver-gray in color, while the surrounding fields exhibit charcoal-gray toning. This allows a pleasing visual contrast to occur. The reverse is equally free of distractions, and only fairly typical striking softness over OF, and on the cloud beneath, creates a bit of visual asymmetry. Overall a very acceptable candidate, for the grade.
