Description:
1804 Draped Bust Quarter, B-1, Good 4
Elusive Date, Important Type Issue

1804 25C Good 4 PCGS. CAC. B-1, R.3. The 1804 is the first quarter to feature the Heraldic Eagle reverse, making the issue an important one for type collectors. The 1804 is also an elusive key that boasts a low mintage of only 6,738 pieces, with two die varieties known for the date. This well-worn specimen represents the more available B-1 variety, with a die flaw between stars 8 and 9. The rim is worn smooth in places on the reverse, and some of the legend is gone, but the obverse retains all major design detail, at least in outline. Housed in a green label holder.(Registry values: P7) (NGC ID# 23RB, PCGS# 5312)
