1973-D $1 MS66 PCGS....
1973-D Eisenhower Dollar, MS661973-D $1 MS66 PCGS. The 1973-P and 1973-D dollars were never intended to circulate and were issued only in Mint Sets, limiting the numbers available to about 2 million each. Although they became known as Ike dollars, the coins were intended to represent one of America's proudest moments of that era, the moon landing. This spectacularly toned coin will no doubt be of extreme interest to aficionados of toned coins. The out of this world design and coloring of both sides combine to provide this Premium Gem with a notable appearance. Iridescent shades of deep pink, yellow-green, lemon-yellow, plum, rich sea-green, bright orange, teal, denim-blue, and dark violet are among the colors present. The toning notwithstanding, PCGS has assigned higher numeric grades to only 10 examples (3/13).(Registry values: N14) (NGC ID# 258B, PCGS# 7413)
