Struck 10% Off Center
On a Cent Planchet, Obverse Indent
MS62 Red and Brown
(1966) Washington Quarter -- Struck 10% Off Center on a Cent Planchet with Obverse Indent -- MS62 Red and Brown NGC. NGC lists the 1966 date within parenthesis. The 19 is absent on the coin while the 66 is indistinct. Struck moderately off center toward 10 o'clock, and the left obverse border (over Washington's nose) is indented by the reverse of a previously struck quarter. The peripheral legends exhibit dramatic spreading toward the rims.
