1911 $10 Indian Eagle -- Reverse Struck-Through -- MS64 NGC....
Choice 1911 Eagle With Reverse Strike-Through1911 $10 Indian Eagle -- Reverse Struck-Through -- MS64 NGC. This thoroughly lustrous lemon-gold near-Gem is housed reverse-up in the holder, the better to showcase the prominent mint-made strike-through on the lower right reverse. Presumably, a thin wire was fed between the planchet and the reverse die and fell out of the coin after the strike. Its outline curves close to the rim and overlaps the tips of the eagle's wing feathers.
