Description:
1962-D Franklin Half Dollar, MS67
Struck on a Nickel Planchet
1962-D 50C Franklin Half--Struck on a Nickel Planchet--MS67 NGC. 5.0 grams. LIBERTY and HALF DOLLAR are off the undersized flan, which is uncentered toward 10 o'clock. Satiny and essentially brilliant with immaculate surfaces. Surprisingly, neither NGC nor PCGS has certified any 1962-D half dollars above the MS66 level, the present mint error excepted (8/07). A desirable wrong planchet combination, especially with such spectacular preservation.
