Description:
1964-D Half Struck on a
Silver Quarter Planchet MS62
1964-D 50C Kennedy Half--Struck on a Silver Quarter Planchet--MS62 PCGS. The date is off the flan, but the Denver mintmark near the branch stem confirms it is a 1964-D. No mintmark is present on the 1965 to 1967 dates, and the mintmark was moved to the obverse is 1968. This slightly oval-shaped wrong planchet error is uncentered toward 4 o'clock. The portrait and eagle are complete. Kennedy's hair is slightly granular, and the shield has a faint, thin mark. Satiny and smooth overall.
