Description:
1972-D Quarter on a Cent Planchet, MS64
1972-D 25C Washington Quarter -- Struck on a Cent Planchet -- MS64 PCGS. PCGS has not indicated a color designation but it should be Brown, though traces of fire-red reside in design recesses. One small spot is on the back of Washington's head. The 197 is bold while the 2 and mintmark are distorted due to stretching toward the rim. Struck in alignment with the collar die at 7:30, thus much of LIBERTY, AMERICA, and the denomination is off the flan.(Registry values: N1) (NGC ID# 247A, PCGS# 5890)
