Description:
Double Struck Washington Quarter, MS64
Obverse 35% Indented by a Dime Planchet
Undated Clad Washington Quarter -- Double Struck, 35% Dime-Indented Obverse -- MS64 PCGS. The first strike appears to have been uniface reverse and approximately 20% off center toward 7:30. The coin failed to eject, a dime planchet was fed in, and the coin was struck a second time. The dime flan was aligned with the lower obverse, centered at 5 o'clock. The second obverse strike is light since the dime received much of the impact from the die.
