Description:
1836 Medallic Oriented Gobrecht Dollar
Judd-60 Original, Deeply Toned PR35
1836 $1 Name on Base, Judd-60 Original, Medal Alignment PR35 PCGS. Silver. Plain Edge. Die Alignment IV (head of Liberty opposite OF). All medallic-oriented Gobrecht dollars are related. Most of the medallic-oriented dollars are in Die Alignment IV, only 20-30% are in Die Alignment II or an intermediate state. Both sides are charcoal-gray and blue with sharply contrasting light gray device high points. Surprisingly for both a Gobrecht dollar and a coin that has seen 25 points of circulation, there are no mentionable abrasions on either side. (PCGS# 11226)
