1877 Gold Dollar, MS65+1877 G$1 MS65+ NGC. CAC. Due to the low mintage of a number of series dated 1877; the date has become popular across the board with collectors. The gold dollar had a mintage of only 3,900 pieces in 1877, and is scarce today, with the estimated number of survivors ranging from 150 to perhaps 210.
