George III pattern gold 2 guineas 1768, by J.S. Tanner, S-3724, WR-79, KM-Pn49, plain edge, PR62 NGC, a very pleasing coin gleaming with reflective gold luster, showing obvious hairlines from light handling over the past 245 years, struck on a broad flan displaying bold details of the deep engraving style, the portrait of King George in high relief, the royal shield fully struck, the obverse featuring nearly complete rim denticles, the reverse rim mostly level with some denticles present, the color a lovely reddish gold.
