Description

Victoria silver Proof Pattern Decade (Florin) 1848 PR62 NGC, KM-Unl., Bull-2940 (prev. ESC-908; R2). Obv. B / Rev. Cvi. Among the interesting British Patterns of 1848, with this issue featuring the delicate, uncrowned portrait of young Victoria and the trident inside the open wreath. These sharply struck designs offer a more minimalistic style in comparison to the highly embellished "Gothic" or "VR" Patterns, giving this piece a graceful, sleek aura. Heritage has only handled this scarce Pattern a handful of times, twice in 2012 and once in 2022. At present there are only five examples certified by NGC. A beautiful, bright specimen that would make a great addition to a British collection.
