Description:

1793 C-4, B-4 Half Cent, AU50
Last of Four Varieties Minted in 1793
1793 1/2 C AU50 NGC. C-4, B-4, R.3. Manley Die State 2.0 with a sharp vertical projection from the top center of the 7. The reverse die is perfect as always on this variety. Four 1793 half cent varieties are known, and the Cohen and Breen variety sequences properly identify the order of production. The Cohen-4, Breen-4 die marriage offered here was the last of the four varieties produced in 1793. Glossy olive-brown surfaces exhibit minimal circulation marks that are consistent with the grade. Minor scratches and delicate surface smoothing lines are also evident. Our EAC grade VF30.(Registry values: P8) (NGC ID# 2222, PCGS# 1000)
