Pleasing Extremely Fine 1793 Half Cent1793 1/2 C XF40 PCGS. B-2, C-2, R.3. The chocolate-brown fields complement the lilac-tinged devices. Liberty's cheek has light wear, while the wreath and all legends are bold. A faint pinscratch above the bust truncation, and wispy roller marks (as made) on Liberty's upper curls, but the surfaces are very attractive. The reverse has a pair of relatively lengthy laminations that are strictly of mint origin. The dies are rotated clockwise approximately 30 degrees. An impressive first year example, and an essential addition to any early type set. (NGC ID# 2222, PCGS# 1000)
