Description:
1797 1/2 C Plain Edge Fine 12 PCGS. B-1c, C-1, R.2. Struck on a cut down Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent, with RK in NEW YORK still visible to the left of the denomination. The color ranges from lighter to darker shades of brown patina. A couple of planchet flaws (as struck) near the second A in AMERICA. The obverse has a few faded pinscratches. A few letters in the legends are faint, but the wreath is relatively sharp. (NGC ID# 2228, PCGS# 1036)
