Description:
1808 1/2 C XF45 PCGS. B-3, C-3, R.1. The die is distinguished by the second 8 in the date being noticeably higher than the other figures. In fact, the 8 is considerably larger because it was formed by stacking two zeros on top of each other from the denominator punch. Dark brown color throughout with a faint pinscratch on the obverse, extending from just above Liberty's eye to just right of Y. The rims are ill-defined and the reverse die is rotated nearly one hundred and eighty degrees. Population: 2 in 45, 29 finer (4/05).(#1107) (Registry values: P5) (NGC ID# 26Y2, PCGS# 1107)
