Description:
Stunning, Richly Toned Gem 1859 Indian Cent, MS66 PCGS
1859 1C MS66 PCGS. A truly breathtaking example of this consistently popular issue, and certainly deserving of its position among the finest known for the date. Graced with a needle-sharp and very bold strike, the surfaces are pristine except for a pair of unobtrusive nicks on the Indian's features and some trivial chatter in the fields. Lightly frosted devices are framed by flashy, mildly reflective fields, and cool orange-gold surfaces are accented by broad, vivid streaks of crimson and magenta throughout as well as traces of watery sapphire and sea-green at the rims. Population: 12 in 66, 0 finer (10/03).(#2052) (Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 227E, PCGS# 2052)
