Description:
Superb MS67 1915 Ten Dollar Indian
1915 $10 MS67 PCGS. The 1915 is one of the more frequently encountered P-mints in the series and it is similar in scarcity to the 1910, 1912, and 1913. While other Superb coins are alleged to exist, to date (10/03) only one has actually been certified and that is an NGC piece. The overall appearance of this coin is breathtaking. All the factors that go into making up the grade and value of any coin are present here. The mint luster is frosted and sparkles brightly over each side. The luster is fully intact and each side has lovely lilac and golden-rose patina interspersed. Fully struck also, the surfaces show no obvious abrasions. All in all, the coin has strong visual appeal as well as technical merit and we expect it to bring a strong price at auction.(#8878) (Registry values: P2, N25000) (NGC ID# 28H5, PCGS# 8878)

The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens as Illustrated by the Morse and Duckor Collections
Revised Edition by James L. Halperin, Mark R. Borckardt, Mark Van Winkle, Jon Amato, and Gregory J. Rohan, with special contributor David W. Akers

The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens is an issue-by-issue examination of these two artistically inspired series of gold coins. Each date and mintmark is reviewed with up-to-date information, much of which has never been previously published. The book is based on two extraordinary collections: The Phillip H. Morse collection and the Dr. and Mrs. Steven L. Duckor collection.
