Description:
Attractively Toned 1926 Gem Ten Dollar
1926 $10 MS65 PCGS. With its 1.014 million mintage, the 1926 is readily available in all grades through MS65. A limited number of MS66 pieces have been certified, but none higher. Variegated orange-gold and mint-green patina rests on intensely lustrous surfaces. The design elements are adequately struck. Were it not for the handful of light abrasions on each side (which is typical for the issue), this piece would come in at a significantly grade.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 28H9, PCGS# 8882)

The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens as Illustrated by the Morse and Duckor Collections
Revised Edition by James L. Halperin, Mark R. Borckardt, Mark Van Winkle, Jon Amato, and Gregory J. Rohan, with special contributor David W. Akers

The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens is an issue-by-issue examination of these two artistically inspired series of gold coins. Each date and mintmark is reviewed with up-to-date information, much of which has never been previously published. The book is based on two extraordinary collections: The Phillip H. Morse collection and the Dr. and Mrs. Steven L. Duckor collection.
