Extreme Series Rarity
The 1930-S had its production of 96,000 pieces melted to the extent that only a few hundred coins survive in all conditions. This example is an attractive, apricot-gold color with brilliant, lustrous surfaces. It is boldly struck and, if circulated at all, the rub is minimal. Rather, a series of shallow scrapes appear in the left obverse field to result in the assigned grade. Despite the abrasions, this is an appealing example of an incredibly in-demand Eagle rarity. Population: 1 in 53, 94 finer (1/14).
