Description:
'Crusty Gold' 1916-S Half Eagle, MS62
Median Rarity in the Series
1916-S $5 MS62 NGC. Charcoal accents complement excellent underlying luster on this otherwise-golden-orange MS62 1916-S half eagle. The surfaces have an original "crusty gold" mattelike appearance that will appeal to many collectors. The 1916-S half eagle is a median rarity in the complete collection, about 12th of 24 issues in the series overall.(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 28DY, PCGS# 8532)
