1796 1C Draped Bust, Reverse of 1795 AU55 NGC. S-92, B-28, R.3. Our EAC Grade AU50. Breen Die State III. A delicate die crack joins BERTY and another crack crosses the right obverse field from the lips to the border. Glossy chocolate and steel-brown surfaces are smooth and pristine. The obverse has a minuscule rim bruise near the Y in LIBERTY that is hidden under the tab. Bland and Noyes each grade this piece AU50 and fourth finest known.
