Description:
1840 $10 AU50 PCGS. This underrated date is surprisingly difficult to find in higher grades, and Mint State pieces are nearly impossible to locate. Even an attractive AU like the present coin is challenging to the specialist. This lovely green-gold piece has satiny surfaces with considerable luster and reflectivity. Population: 14 in 50, 17 finer (5/09).
From The Kiawah Collection.(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 262G, PCGS# 8581)
