Description:
1841-O $10 Fine 15 PCGS. The first New Orleans issue of the denomination, and since the mintage was limited to 2,500 pieces, survivors in any grade are rarely encountered. Sharp for the assigned grade, especially on the reverse, which shows substantial plumage definition. The surfaces are a bit bright and glossy and display no obtrusive marks. PCGS has only certified 45 pieces in all grades, this over a period of nearly twenty years and which doubtlessly includes some duplicate submissions.(#8583) (Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 262J, PCGS# 8583)
