Description:
Rarely Seen 1841-O Eagle, Choice XF
1841-O $10 XF45 PCGS. The '41-O is a very scarce issue. Only 2,500 pieces were struck and it has the lowest mintage of any Ten Dollar issue from 1839 to 1859. Only a small number of pieces grade VF-XF, and higher grade examples are of the utmost scarcity. This is a well struck example whose surfaces have rich green-gold coloration. Numerous small abrasions are peppered across the obverse with several larger marks on the reverse. (NGC ID# 262J, PCGS# 8583)
