Lustrous 1847 Eagle, MS611847 $10 MS61 NGC. Bulging bun subtype. Available in lower grades, Mint State survivors of this P-mint issue are scarce and comparable in rarity to those of the 1847-O and 1849 deliveries. This is a remarkably lustrous coin for the grade with modestly reflective fields and scattered contact marks throughout. For pedigree purposes, a diagonal mark is seen over the lateral lines in the shield, and a group of abrasions rests in the right obverse field near star 11. Census: 30 in 61, 21 finer (12/08).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 262Z, PCGS# 8597)
