Description

1852 $10 AU58 PCGS. The 1852 was produced to the extent of 263,106 pieces, a respectable total for an Eagle from this era. Low grade survivors are relatively plentiful, but the certified population thins rapidly as one approaches the Mint State threshold. This particular example is a little softly impressed overall with only light friction in the fields and over the highpoints. The surfaces are moderately abraded from circulation with ample remaining luster and golden-rose patina. Population: 8 in 58, 11 finer (7/01). (NGC ID# 263C, PCGS# 8608)
