Description:
Scarce 1856-S Eagle, AU58
1856-S $10 AU58 PCGS. CAC. Medium S. The 1856-S is scarce in all circulated grades and quite rare in Mint State. Considerable luster is apparent on the yellow-gold surfaces of this near-Mint State example and a solid strike imparts sharp detail to the design elements. Distributed minute circulation marks do not detract. Population: 13 in 58, 6 finer (2/10).(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 263S, PCGS# 8621)
