Description:
Challenging Choice AU 1858-S Ten Dollar
1858-S $10 AU55 NGC. Bright luster connects many of the obverse stars, and the reverse border has an unbroken band of peripheral luster. Small scattered marks are inevitable for the grade, but none singularly distract. The 1854-S and 1856-S are the only relatively available San Francisco No Motto issues. The 1858-S is rare regardless of grade. Only 11,800 pieces were struck.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 263Y, PCGS# 8627)
