Description:
Attractive BU Quality 1861 Ten
1861 $10 MS62 NGC. The most easily obtainable (in an absolute sense) No Motto Eagle struck after 1855, the 1861 is still a conditionally rare coin that is most often located in the VF-XF grade range. This is an attractive BU representative whose golden-rose surfaces are bright and satiny in sheen. The well executed strike is sharp throughout, and the surfaces, while typically abraded for the grade, are free of individually conspicuous distractions. From an original mintage of 113,233 pieces. Population: 7 in 62, only three are finer (1/02).
From the Ohio Collection. (NGC ID# 2647, PCGS# 8633)
