Description:
1863-S $10 Fine 12 PCGS. Like all San Francisco issues from the Civil War, the 1863-S is a rarity since a scant 10,000 pieces were struck, and few of these were set aside. NGC and PCGS combined have certified a mere 66 pieces in all grades, which presumably includes a number of resubmissions. This glossy and bright yellow-brown piece retains plumage definition near the shield and lacks obtrusive marks.(Registry values: N991) (NGC ID# 264C, PCGS# 8638)
