Condition Census 1866 Eagle AU581866 $10 AU58 PCGS. Doubled Date, like all seen. Moderately abraded with excellent sharpness over the major devices and considerable prooflike luster on the reverse. Not only does this first year With Motto Eagle boast a tiny business strike mintage of just 3,750 pieces, but the survival rate in all grades is also extremely low. Just two Mint State representatives have been graded by either service, a pair of MS61 examples certified by NGC, which places this lustrous 1866 Eagle solidly in Condition Census rankings. Census: 1 in 58, 2 finer (11/05).
