Impressive MS 65 1874 Ten-Dollar--The Finest Known by a Wide Margin1874 MS 65 PCGS. While a scarcer date, the 1874 does not compare to the P-mints of previous years. However, it is a condition rarity in mint state with only a few low grade MS 60-61 pieces known other than this fabulous coin. And it is truly fabulous. The mint luster is thick and frosted, rolling around the surfaces unimpeded by any significant abrasions, luster grazes, or other superficial impairments. The only mark that might be useful in tracing the pedigree of this coin is a short nick in the field above the eagle's head. The fields are bright and the color overall is a medium golden-orange. Undoubtedly one of the finest mint state coins in the Warren Miller Collection.
