1874-CC $10 AU55 NGC....
Impressive Choice AU 1874-CC Ten1874-CC $10 AU55 NGC. Peach-tinged luster is extensive, an unusual trait for a Carson City ten from the 1870s--a decade with many low mintage CC-mint issues. The present example also benefits from a crisp strike and a near-absence of detrimental marks. Only five 1874-CC eagles have been certified as Mint State, two of the most notable being an NGC MS65 formerly from the Warren Miller collection offered by Heritage in October 1995, and a PCGS MS63 once owned by Louis Eliasberg, Sr. and Harry W. Bass, Jr. While the present piece has witnessed brief circulation, its eye appeal is certain to please the advanced specialist. Census: 18 in 55, 3 finer (2/09).
