Impressive Borderline Uncirculated 1882-CC Eagle1882-CC $10 AU58 NGC. A bright band of luster across the borders confirms the near-Mint status of this well struck better date Carson City Eagle. The reverse is devoid of detrimental bagmarks, while the obverse has only a few relatively inconsequential abrasions. The stingy production of 6,764 pieces is less than any other Ten Dollar issue of the decade, except for the 1889 and the very rare 1883-O. Essentially unobtainable in Mint State, knowledgeable specialists instead seek a superior quality circulated example, such as the present piece. Population: 26 in 58, 1 finer (5/04).
