Description:
Sensational 1898 Liberty Ten Dollar MS67
1898 $10 MS67 NGC. A glorious, needle sharp representative that comes temptingly close to the appearance of a newly minted coin. Both sides are aglow with radiant, satiny luster and the nearly pristine surfaces are just a few trivial field marks from achieving that goal. The 1898 Eagle is a well produced issue that has a surviving population of approximately two dozen Gems, but this remarkable example is hands down among the finest. Population: 2 in 67, 0 finer (11/03). (#8740) (Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 267G, PCGS# 8740)

Needless to say I was overwhelmed by the results of the auction and I truly believe it was Jill’s efforts in promoting and displaying the piece that brought in the extra value.
