Description:
Lustrous 1901 Eagle, MS65 NGC
1901 $10 MS65 NGC. With a mintage exceeding 1.7 million pieces, the 1901 is at least as common as any other date in the entire Eagle series. It is easily obtainable in any condition up to and including Choice Uncirculated. The population was bolstered by a hoard of hundreds of Uncirculated pieces that showed up in the 1950s. This Gem example has lustrous brass-gold surfaces. The design elements are well struck throughout, and a few unimportant marks are apparent over each side. A snappy specimen that would be ideal for a high-grade type set.(#8747) (Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 267P, PCGS# 8747)
