1846 $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Ex: S.S. New York. The date is lightly repunched west. A moderately prooflike butter-gold example that has an intricate strike and a bright appearance. A faded thin mark is noted above the portrait, with a lesser mark over the beak also worthy of mention. A low-mintage Philadelphia issue. Census: 13 in 61, 3 finer (8/10).(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 25GZ, PCGS# 7740)
